• Aunt Doherny appears in ``School Picture'' (#102), ``She Drives Me Crazy'' (#115), ``Marshall's Parents Visit'' (#138), ... ???.
• In ``School Picture'' (#102), when Clarissa is trying to convince Janet to let her dress how she wants, she says, ``It's not like I'm getting my nose pierced!'' In ``Cool Dad'' (#112) (and later in ``Alter Ego'' (#157)) she actually wears a nosering, but it's a clip-on.
• ``Skate-rap'' (i.e., skateboarding lingo) figures prominently in ``No T.V.'' (#103), the opening scene of ``Bully'' (#107), and ``A New Look'' (#125).
• Marshall talks on the phone with ``Jack'' in ``No T.V.'' (#103) and ``Bake a Cake'' (#110).
• Marshall does a squirrel impression in ``Urge to Drive'' (#104) (as part of a cool scout greeting) and ``Road Trip'' (#143).
• Cher is mentioned in ``School Picture'' (#102), ``Urge to Drive'' (#104), and ``Dear Clarissa'' (#162).
• Adam Lieberman:

  In [``CNN'' (#105)], Clarissa poses the question, ``Where do socks go when they don't come out of the dryer?''; in [``Sam In Love'' (#124)] Janet finds all the missing socks in the couch looking for Ferguson's birth certificate; and despite this, in [``ESP R US'' (#141)] Olivia suggests they disappear into another dimension.

• In ``Haunted House'' (#106), part of Clarissa's ``theory of relativity'' is to put ``large, heavy density items'' in front of the door; we see her do this in ``The Return of Mafalda'' (#118), but it doesn't keep Aunt Mafalda out of her room.
• The ``Experiments to be Conducted'' file from ``New Addition'' (#108) shows up in Clarissa's room in almost every subsequent episode.
• C Chan (UG3):

  I don't know if you already know but beside Clarissa's VCR or TV in her room is a VCR tape. Could this be the same tape that was shown in the episode [``New Addition'' (#108)] where Ferg-head tips the salad bowl over his head and Clarissa suggested to Sam she was going to use the tape for black mail purposes? After that episode I notice the tape was still there till the last episode.

• In ``President Ferguson'' (#117), Clarissa says she has a talent for protesting. We see just how talented she is in this regard in ``Clarissa Gets Arrested'' (#164).
• Aunt Mafalda's return in ``The Return of Mafalda'' (#118) makes good on the promise she made at the end of ``Haunted House'' (#106).
• In ``A Little Romance'' (#147), Sam suggests that Clarissa ``give one long moo'' as part of a signal for determining when it's safe to enter through the window. We get to hear what that might have sounded like in ``Ferguson Explains It All'' (#161), when Ferguson tries to turn Clarissa into a cow.
• Don Kramer:

  Also in the first season (or maybe the second) Ferguson makes references to the same names he mentions at the beginning of [``Ferguson Explains It All'' (#161)]... I know I've seen this but don't know the episode.

• In ``Take My Advice...Please'' (#134) Marshall thinks Janet's favorite flowers are magnolia blossoms, but she's allergic to them. We discovered this in ``Total TV'' (#126).
• In ``Don't I Know You'' (#150), Clarissa tells Olivia, ``And you know how much I love getting on stage,'' which is surely an allusion to the school recital in ``The Zone'' (#148).
• The type of person ``who buys Christmas presents in July'' that Sam mentions in ``A New Mom'' (#154) is exactly the type of person Sam and Clarissa needed to find in ``Urge to Drive'' (#104) when they sold Christmas cards door-to-door.
• In ``Editor-In-Chief'' (#155), Ferguson is interviewing the film great Turner B. Gerhard, famous for his ``mutant cheerleader'' movies. Obviously, Mr. Gerhard is responsible for the movie ``Teenage Mutant Cheerleaders V: Pep-rally of Blood'' from ``Cool Dad'' (#112).
• Turner B. Gerhard's comment in ``Editor-In-Chief'' (#155) about Clarissa being ``quite lovely'' recalls a similar comment by J. Elliot Fundsworth III in ``Can't Buy Love'' (#122). Note that in both episodes, Ferguson ends up being taken advantage of by someone he is trying to use for his own gain.
• After Clarissa encourages Sam's cartooning in ``Editor-In-Chief'' (#155) this becomes his first (third) career choice when he and Clarissa intern in ``Sam's Dad'' (#158).
• The ``Rathskeller'' restaurant or tavern referred to in ``Piper Comes to Visit'' (#156) [see Various lists] was also mentioned in ``Bake a Cake'' (#110).
• In the episode ``Alter Ego'' (#157), Clarissa goes to a party using the name ``Jade''. This is the name Clarissa said she would have preferred in the very first episode, ``Revenge'' (#101). Also, Clarissa dresses as Jade (but doesn't use the name) in ``Cool Dad'' (#112). [See also Recurrent phrases.]
• Adam Lieberman:

  Sam makes a reference [in ``Clarissa Gets Arrested'' (#164)] to when he started shaving: ``And that's like four months already.'' Well, we happen to know when he started shaving: [``Commitment'' (#142)]. That was made in the first month of 1993; [``Clarissa Gets Arrested'' (#164)] was made in the last month of 1993. I wonder if they kept track of this when they made that comment. Could everything in the 21 episodes in between have happened in four months?

• Adam Lieberman:

  Clarissa tells Ferguson [in ``Clarissa Gets Arrested'' (#164)], ``This is a house, not a golf course.'' But back in [``Bully'' (#107)] (introducing Clifford Spleenhurfer), she let Sam really set it up as a golf course. This led to a serious accident, too, but they blamed the chain letter, not the kids.

• Gerald E. Peck:

  Concerning [``Clarissa Gets Arrested'' (#164)].... Mimsi Dimsdale makes an actual appearance in this episode, and we see Stinky Stencotti (sp?) for a second time. BTW, isn't he mentioned in a total of three episodes, and seen in two?

• Clarissa wears pajamas with ants on them in
  • ``Bake a Cake'' (#110) - pink ones, under a pink robe
  • ``Alter Ego'' (#157) - green ones
