This is how the poll appeared on the list. There are two parts, the poll itself and an appendix listing episode titles and guest appearances for CEIA and STTW.
The summary of the poll results is finished but will not be posted at this site until later.
This is the fourth and final posting of the 1998 "clarissa" mailing list poll, by far the longest and most involved one to date! An appendix listing CEIA and STTW episode titles and guest appearances is being posted in a separate message. The purpose of the poll is to give us all a little more information about the list members and their opinions of Melissa and her TV shows. Please feel free to respond even if you never post to the list. Your identity will be kept confidential. If you're having problems responding to poll, please e-mail me for help. * RESPONSES SHOULD BE E-MAILED TO ME [e-mail address deleted], NOT TO THE LIST * If your native language is not English, you may find the following web-based translation service helpful: http://babelfish.altavista.digital.com/cgi-bin/translate Important stuff --------------- * Please check your reply before you send it to make sure it's not going to the list. * All responses will be kept confidential. I am the _only_ person who will see who said what (unless you accidentally reply to the list). * You don't have to answer any question you don't want to, but please answer as many questions as you can. (Please respond even if you answer only a few questions.) * Please respond *before* 25 Sep 1998. This poll will not be posted again before that date. * A summary of responses will be posted to the list sometime after 01 Oct 1998 (this will probably take several messages posted over a period of weeks, or maybe even months) and also at my web-site <http://www.obkb.com/>. Note also that all 'obkb.com' URLs below that contain 'info/mjhpages' in them are temporary. I still haven't gotten my "info" pages moved to their "permanent" locations. :-( [Not only that, but they're not as complete as I'd like them to be. But that's another story.] If you're reading this after, say, 01 Oct 1998, the pages will probably be in a different location (I hope!!); just navigate to them from the "Info Archives" page <http://www.obkb.com/info/>. A note about the expected format for responses ---------------------------------------------- To prevent misunderstandings and to make it as easy as possible to summarize the poll results, please note the following guidelines when giving your responses. Multiple-choice questions can be answered by deleting all but your choice. For example: a) one => b) two b) two c) three Please do _not_ give more than one answer on multiple-choice questions. Answers such as "a and b" will not be included in the poll summary. Checkboxes should be "checked" with an asterisk or other symbol: ( ) this => (*) this ( ) that ( ) that It should be clear from the context which checkboxes are mutually exclusive (can't be checked at the same time) and which aren't. Fill-in-the-blanks should be filled in as follows: __ TV Appearance To Be Rated => _9_ TV Appearance To Be Rated Short-answer questions should be answered *briefly* (no longer than a single line, if possible). Some examples: Occupation: => Occupation: computer programmer Because: => Because: she's just so darned cute 1) => 1) the writing is much stronger Favorite and least-favorite episodes can be given by title and/or production number (listed in the Appendix to the poll, posted separately), or with a brief description of the storyline. Some examples: * => * #102 * => * Troll Bride * => * the one where Sam and Clarissa go out on a date Please note that I use _production_ order, not broadcast order, to number the episodes of both 'Clarissa Explains It All' and 'Sabrina, the Teenage Witch'. If you have any doubt as to the correct title or number to use, just describe the episode. If you don't want to answer a question at all, please delete it completely from your response. If you don't (or can't easily) follow these guidelines, don't worry. I'll try to figure out what you mean, anyway. In certain cases, I may e-mail you asking for clarification on one or more answers.
